Painting Instructions:
We have included our high performance Vinylast paint and Fast Primer Zinc Phosphate as part of the material list.
Although we always recommend hot dipped galvanizing for outside work, we realize that this is not always possible. For non-galvanized work we recommend using our Fast Primer Zinc Phosphate followed by two coats of Vinylast following standard instructions.
Please note that non-galvanized ironwork may require regular maintenance. We recommend that all joints are fillet welded (Fully welded all the way around). There should be no rust, dust, damp, dirt, oil or grease on the work.
For inside work, just make sure the work is clean. You can apply Vinylast directly over the work without the need for a primer.
