KRS Fabrications, Lubbock, TX
Chain Link security gate installed at the Anadarko Petroleum Gas Plant. KRS knew that cantilever sliding gate hardware, offered by Comunello, would be a great option due to the uneven ground and rough terrain.
The gate opening is 40ft with an overall length of 63ft and uses the galvanized track model, CGS-350.8P. KRS fabricated an aluminum frame, making the gate much lighter than steel and mechanically fastened the aluminum frame to the galvanized steel track.
After considering options for a slide gate, our client in Salt Lake City is now enjoying his sliding gate using DuraGates hardware. The working space was tight but that was not an issue for DuraGates hardware since the counter balance length is much shorter than most sliding/rolling gate hardware. The smallest steel model, CGS-250.8M, was used and is barely visible making the gate quite aesthetically pleasing. Client chose a Locinox sliding gate lock to keep the gate secured when in the closed position.
The team at Cleveland MetroParks installed two DuraGates systems for the parks two toboggan chutes. In the “before” picture notice the chain across the chute area, a cumbersome task for the assistant to move each time. With the gates installed, simply unlock and slide out of the way of the chute. When the gates are fully open they tuck in neatly behind the maintenance shed.
