Permalac is an air-dry acrylic lacquer and direct-to-substrate protective coating for metal, stone, and wood. It’s primarily designed for protecting surfaces like bronze, brass, copper, steel, silver,
and aluminum, and will work indoors or outdoors. Additionally, Permalac has been used in many other applications such as stone surfaces like masonry, stone monuments, terracotta, concrete surfaces such as floors, even antique interior wooden chairs. Painted or unpainted wood substrates are easily protected with Permalac as well. It can be applied via spray gun (HVLP or airless), brush, or dip method.

Coverage:

We recommend 3 coats of Permalac for indoor items & 4 coats for outdoor items.

Spray cans may call for 5-6 coats since it has been thinned out to fit into the spray can.

12 oz. spray cans (Original & NT only in Satin or Matte) covers 40 square feet

Quarts (covers 100 square feet)

1 gallon cans (covers 400 square feet)

How to calculate how much Permalac you need for your proejct:

Find the square footage of your project & then times it by 3 if it’s indoor or 4 if it is outdoor to arrive & how much Permalac you will need to complete your project.
